Mango

Mangoes are seasonal fruit and are mainly available during hot summer season. Mango is mostly cultivated in tropical regions. Scientific name of mango is Mangifera indica. There are many cultures around the world that use the fruit and leaves for ritual purposes and decorations.

Mangoes contain pectin, a substance that is proven to lowers blood cholesterol levels. Eating lots of mangoes can help prevent the progression of cancer stages especially gastrointestinal kind. With the high fiber content, mango is a perfect fruit for heart and ideal as cancer prevention.
